Adipsy for Oncology Moms
Macsons Ladies attended the first annual She Laughs Gala sponsored by Adipsy. This evening was founded to recognize oncology moms with a night out. It was a lovely evening filled with beautiful ladies and glamorous cocktail outfits. Linda Scott, from Macsons Estimating department and mother of Christy McCloud, Adipsy’s founder sponsored our table and created a festive table scape for all of us to enjoy. The evening also had a silent auction. The proceeds from this event will go to sending these cancer families on a vacation allowing them to take a break from the never ending battles that cancer brings. Macsons Hurricane Relief
In September, Macsons was asked to provide restoration support to the New Hanover County Schools; hard hit by Hurricane Florence. Macsons spent six weeks performing restoration to flooded Winter Park, College Park and Gregory Elementary schools in Wilmington, North Carolina. “We wanted to make sure the schools were cleaned for the students,” Macsons CEO Steve McCloud. "We are a family owned company and recently expanded in Wilmington. We wanted to extend the Macsons family here and ensure the children had a safe place to learn and grow.”

Hickory High School Help
Faculty and students at Hickory High School used the opportunity of their homecoming game to start filling the truck! Joining forces with rival school, Grassfield High, the following morning; students and faculty from both schools completed the effort. Macsons provided the truck and drivers to deliver the much-needed items for Pender County Schools in North Carolina, hit hard by Hurricane Florence in September of 2018.

Macsons Family Assistance
As a part of Macsons community outreach, in conjunction with Adipsy; a team of Macsons employees helped a family with a child who had been battling cancer since the hurricane, cleaned up storm damage at their home.
Macsons community outreach program also provided meals for struggling families and homeless shelters during the holiday. These donations were donated by Macsons employees and families. Established over 30 years ago, Macsons was originally started to serve the community in various ways. Our community service outreach program is still strong today with multiple projects in the works. From building residential handicap access to organizing blood drives and helping youth sports programs in our area.
